Similar to the recent storm swept through the north-west the night before, City blew Manchester United away at the Etihad. It was a statement three-nil triumph for their manager's side due to goals from Knaak, Bunny Shaw and Hemp. It was a performance that clearly signaled their title credentials as they strengthened their standing at the WSL pinnacle.

Back-to-Back Losses for United

This result marked successive league defeats for Skinner's side for the first time since spring 2024, putting them a significant margin off the top team with their trophy ambitions hanging by a thread.
